Welcome May! Welcome! Welcome!
Here’s our official welcome to the month of May. The month we yearn for all winter long. The month that warms us – FINALLY! The month that is dedicated to celebrating ourselves for a change – ummmm, we do celebrate ourselves, don’t we? Sure, we’re overwhelmed by the sheer abundance of dance recitals, little league games, first communions, and family obligations. But once you sift through the clutter and just breathe for a bit … the month of May is full of welcome changes. The trees and flowers are in full bloom and the grass is getting greener – in more ways than one! It’s time for a fresh start!

And we’re here to help. That’s why we’ve loaded this newsletter with ways that you can celebrate YOU the way you deserve and some new ideas for reinventing yourself. Because, if you’re like us, you’re happy to run around taking care of everyone else as long as you get a moment to relax, unwind, and renew yourself. After all, it’s May, marvelous May!

So, now you’re beautiful … but how’s the yard looking? Yup, that’s kinda what we thought.

One of our favorite expressions goes like this … “Clean up your own yard. Change by example. Just be the way you want others to be and hope they pay attention.” And sure, we know this inspirational quote is talking about being a good person, but let’s be literal for a moment, shall we? As Spring gets warmer, you’ll notice one of your neighbors planting flowers. Then, after a few days, another neighbor will follow by example. Then another. And another. By Far and Awaymidspring your entire neighborhood has an entirely new spirit thanks to the new color and beauty found in most everyone’s yard.

Now, we tell our children that that’s exactly how you make a difference in this world. You begin by improving yourself and then hope people will be inspired to follow suit. And sure, this has a higher meaning that is poignant and very true. But it also means, that you really need to get out into that garden and plant some flowers! After all, what will the neighbors think??!!

So, if you find you’re struggling with how to plant your garden this spring, we can tell you that the best place to find the most abundant floral selections and expert gardening advice is Mahoney’s Garden Centers. Visit www.MahoneysGarden.com to view their floral abundance and find the location nearest you. We highly recommend the cascading ivy geranium, they bloom from mid-May until late October, making you the inspiration of the neighborhood through nearly three seasons!

Say Cheese with Our Favorite Photogs!
A Step Up From SnapFish

A League of Their OwnWhat better gift for your mom on Mother’s Day than a session with a fabulous photographer. Whether it’s pets, kids or the soon-to-be amazing garden, we have two photo snappers to introduce you to who are both equally amazing.

Strick up the Grill!

It’s finally that time! And we’ve found a delicious “Turkey & Cheddar Burger” recipe that will make your plate the talk of the party.

Turkey Burger

1 lb ground turkey
1 cup grated cheddar
1 tbs balsamic vinegar
1 tsp parsley
1 tbs dried chives or 2 of fresh chopped
1 tsp dried onion
1 tsp garlic powder
Dash of each salt, pepper, paprika

Combine all ingredients, create patties and put on the grill! Easy as pie (well,
probably much easier than making a pie!)

They’re Not Just Garden Shoes Anymore!

Fabulous In Full ForceMost of you probably know that In Full Force is planning an incredible party in NYC with Marie Claire Magazine (AHHH!—We can’t believe it either!) for a new women’s shoe brand called YOU by Crocs – for the intersection of fashion and comfort, of course. Some of you may not know that their Spring & Summer lines have just launched and are pretty fabulous.

When you hear the term “Crocs” you probably immediately think of those bright orange plastic shoes with holes in them, some holes filled with wonderful little plastic creations called, “Jibbitz.” Take our word, the vibrant colors & level of comfort are most definitely the only similarities to the YOU by Croc brand.

The YOU brand shoes are amazingly chic and comfortable enough to tote the Crocs name. So between running around town to make it to every wedding, graduation party, first communion and Memorial Day cookout this May, find some time to visit www.YOUbycrocs.com and shop online for these amazing kicks. (Did we mention they are comfortable?)
